Healthcare Challenges in East Jerusalem.

Poverty, unemployment, substandard water and sewage connections and restricted access to quality education compounded by healthcare facilities in East Jerusalem facing financial crises can put lives of Palestinian Jerusalemites in danger. Our projects aim at developing and maintaining the infrastructure of hospitals and healthcare facilities, providing well-equipped ambulances, and training healthcare staff.

  • More than 90% of children and 85% of adults need psychological treatment
  • Medical insurance requires paying costly monthly installments while more than 80% of Palestinian Jerusalemites live below the poverty line
  • The multiple restrictions and the strict security measures applied hinder the movement of ambulances and can put lives at stake
